I'm curious if every phone can be rooted and have its bootloader unlocked. I've got five different phones, including a Motorola Edge, but I can't find any support for my specific model. I looked on the Lineage OS website in hopes of reinstalling it, but my phone isn't listed as compatible. I've also tried to install TWRP, but again, my model isn't supported. Is there any way to make these phones useful again, or should I just give up on them?

Is there really no alternative way to get around this? I mean, can’t we use some kind of generic firmware, like for ARMv7 processors, instead of just specific models? I find it hard to believe that some phones are completely unrootable. I thought tech advancements would have found a workaround for this, similar to how Rust fixed issues in C, or how SIEM systems handle logging challenges in programming. Anyone know more about this?
Not all phones can be rooted, unfortunately. A lot of them, especially newer models, come with locked bootloaders which makes it harder to install custom firmware. There are definitely phones out there that can’t run LineageOS or any other custom systems at all. If you're looking for more information, I recommend checking out the XDA forums. They have a wealth of resources for finding reliable methods to root different models. Also, always double-check the exact model number since there can be significant differences even among devices with similar names.
