I was in the middle of watching a video when my laptop screen suddenly went black. Strangely enough, I can still hear the audio from the video. I checked and there's still plenty of battery left, so it shouldn't be an energy issue. What could be causing this and how can I get my screen back?

It sounds like your screen might not be completely dead. Try taking your laptop into a dark room. If the screen still glows faintly, it could be an issue with the backlight. If there's no glow, your screen could be toast.
I took it into a dark room and it's completely dead. The sound is still on, though. I’ve tried a few tricks like the CTRL-ALT-DEL method and nothing worked. When I shut it down completely and powered it back on, however, the screen stayed black.
