Why is Redgifs using so much CPU and RAM on my PC?

I've been experiencing serious performance issues while using Redgifs on my Ryzen 7 with 32GB of RAM. My CPU, RAM, and GPU usage all spike drastically when I scroll through the site. I'm wondering if Windows Defender is mistaking it for a virus, but I'm not sure. The site seems fine, so I think the problem might be related to how Reddit is hosting it. I even tried using Firefox with a fresh install, but the issue persists. Any insights would be appreciated! I can share screenshots if needed.

It sounds like you might be dealing with a resource-heavy webpage. Sometimes these sites can have scripts that cause high CPU and memory usage. Have you tried using an ad blocker or disabling any extensions? That could help reduce the load.

I haven’t tried an ad blocker yet. I’ll give that a shot and see if it makes a difference!

Honestly, just try to get through it quickly! I get that sometimes you can't. But things can slow down with heavy sites. You might be better off checking out settings in your browser to optimize performance.

Lol, easier said than done! But I understand the frustration.
