Hey everyone! I'm putting together a PC build using PCPartPicker but I'm pretty clueless about whether these parts are good. Here's what I've got:
- **CPU:** AME Ryzen 7 9700X for $310
- **CPU Cooler:** Thermalright Phantom for $38
- **Motherboard:** Asus PRIME B650-PLUS for $225
- **Memory:** Patriot Viper Venom 32 GB for $86
- **Storage:** 1 TB SSD
- **GPU:** RX 9070 XT 16 GB for $700
- **Power Supply:** Montech CENTURY II for $90
Altogether, it's about $1600. I mainly want this setup for gaming and schoolwork. Do you think this is a good build and worth the price?

Overall, your parts look solid for a good system! Just wondering, is $1600 your absolute max budget? Also, what will you be using it for mainly? Gaming or productivity?
I think $225 is a bit steep for a B650 motherboard. You could get a B850 for less. Check out the MSI B850 GAMING PLUS WIFI—it’s $189 and has good features. Also, consider the Ryzen 5 9600X instead of the 9700X unless you need all those extra cores for streaming or heavy multitasking. Lastly, spending an extra $50 on the 5070 Ti might be worth it for better gaming performance, but that's just my take! The rest of your components seem fine though.
I saw a B650 for $160, is that a better deal?
I should’ve mentioned, it’s mainly for gaming and schoolwork.
