I'm considering moving my LAMP project from shared hosting to CloudWays because I'm tired of worrying about downtime and infrastructure. Has anyone had experience with this service? What do you think about it?

Just a heads up, CloudWays doesn't give you root access, which can be a dealbreaker for some.
I gave CloudWays a shot for a few months, and I just can't recommend it. Here's why: 1. Their marketing is super aggressive. Even after you buy, you get bombarded with spam. 2. The pricing structure is really confusing and not competitive. 3. The managed services were lackluster; I ran into PHP limits and had to jump through hoops to get help. 4. Changing or removing payment methods is a nightmare—they make it super hard by design. 5. It just feels like they're always trying to upsell. 6. The website design is filled with dark patterns that make management a hassle. Overall, it wasn't a good experience for me.
I've been using CloudWays for a while, and honestly, it's been getting a little worse over time. Customer support isn't what it used to be, and while their tech support is solid, general support is lacking. If you decide to switch, be careful with the Rackspace email add-on—there have been major deliverability issues! Some providers actually blacklisted their IP addresses for months, which is just not okay for email services.
So your issues mainly revolve around email and support? Have you noticed any other problems?
I use CloudWays for basic websites and it's been fine for that. But if your project is a web app, you might find them a bit limited in the frameworks they support. Personally, I've had better luck with Vercel for my web app, though that's not LAMP-based.
Sounds like I should be okay since I just plan to upload HTML, CSS, and some compiled JS!

That's rough! What would you suggest as a better alternative for managed hosting?
