I'm currently using an i5-7400 processor, paired with a 1050 Ti graphics card and an MSI H110m Pro VH Plus motherboard, along with 16GB of RAM. I mostly play Valorant and use my PC for academic work. I'm considering upgrading both my CPU and motherboard since my graphics card is the most recent upgrade I've made. Right now, my setup isn't even meeting the requirements for Windows 11, and I frequently experience frame drops in Valorant, with max FPS usually between 150 and 200. What would you recommend to significantly improve my FPS and overall performance? Thanks in advance!

If you're looking for a solid combo, I'd suggest going for a B450 motherboard and an R5 3600. It should cost around $150 and provides excellent value for the performance. If your budget is a bit flexible, spending an extra $20 on the 5500 could give you an even better experience!
Totally agree! If you're willing to check out AliExpress, the R5 8400f is available for about the same price as the R5 3600. Also, you can find B650 boards on eBay for around $80. Altogether, that would put you at about $160-$170 for newer architecture, which might be worth it if you're okay with a little risk.
