Are My New PC Temperatures Normal?

I just finished building my new PC, and I'm a bit worried about the temperatures I'm seeing. Here are my specs: Ryzen 5 7500F with an Arctic 36 cooler, RTX 3060 Ti OC TUF, AsRock PG Lightning B650M motherboard, and 32GB of DDR5 Kingston Fury RAM. I had some trouble getting it to POST initially, but I managed to solve that by reapplying thermal paste and switching around the RAM and power supply connections. Now, I'm noticing my idle temps are around 40-45°C, which feels a bit high to me for the 7500F. I know that it's an AM5 platform, and I'm not sure if that affects temperatures. When gaming, my temps go up to 76-78°C after about 30min to 1 hour, but I haven't tested for longer yet. I've had one crash while playing War Thunder, causing a full restart, which adds to my concerns. Also, I'm curious - how tight should my CPU cooler be? I cranked it down fully and then loosened it just a bit to avoid too much pressure.

Hey! For your idle temps, anything below 95°C is generally considered normal for an AM5 CPU, so you're good. 40-45°C is actually pretty decent, especially for a newly built system. And don’t stress too much about the crashes sometimes; they can happen during initial setup. Just keep an eye on those temps while gaming, and your cooler should be snug but not overly tight—just enough to ensure good contact without excessive pressure.

Thanks for the reassurance! I was really nervous about those idle temps. I'll keep monitoring them while gaming.
