I'm having real trouble with my Acer laptop's BIOS. I've partitioned my SSD for Nobara OS and installed it using Ventoy on my USB, but it keeps booting directly into Windows instead of showing Nobara in the boot selection. I followed a guide and entered a command to set the boot manager to point to Nobara's GRUB, but now I just get a screen saying "no bootable device found". The only way I can boot into either Windows or Nobara is through the Ventoy menu on my USB, which is super frustrating. By the way, I'm using Linux Mint on another laptop without any issues, probably because it's not an Acer! Also, secure boot is disabled on this machine.

Have you checked what the first boot option is in your BIOS? Go into the BIOS settings, find the "Boot" tab, and then look for something that says "UEFI Hard Disk Drive BBS Priorities". Make sure that "ubuntu" is at the top of that list. If it isn't, just move it up and save your settings. That should help you boot into GRUB!
