I've been trying to get better at coding through YouTube tutorials, but I feel like I'm just copying what I see without really learning anything. Many tutorials are super long, around 10-15 hours, and I find myself losing focus. I'm curious about different strategies for tackling these tutorials effectively. Should I watch the whole thing first or code along? What's the best balance? When do I pause to take notes? After finishing one, how do I practice to ensure I retain what I learned? Any tips would be really appreciated!

I wouldn't really recommend heavy project-based YouTube tutorials. They often just turn into copy-paste sessions. Instead, it's better to dig into one aspect at a time and really explore it. Think about it as building a puzzle; you can learn a lot by trying different pieces and figuring out how they fit together in your own projects.

Why do you say that?
