I'm using Linux Mint and I can't use Rufus to create a bootable USB. Since my current installation is messed up, I want to download a fresh version of Linux Mint. I don't need to back up anything since I don't have important files or customizations anymore. I've heard that balena etcher might be spyware, so I'd like to avoid that. Can anyone suggest a reliable method for creating the bootable USB? If possible, could you also share a YouTube video that explains the process? Thanks a lot!

You could also try using Fedora Media Writer. It's another reliable tool for creating bootable USBs and works well with Linux distributions. Give it a shot if you want something different!
The built-in software in Linux Mint lets you create bootable USB drives easily. Just right-click the ISO file in the file manager and follow the prompts. It should make things pretty straightforward for you!
I recommend using Ventoy as well! You can get it as a flatpak or from your repository. Launch the app, format your thumb drive, and then download any isos you want. Just drag and drop those onto your USB. When you plug it in, you’ll see a menu where you can choose which .iso to boot from. There's also a great video tutorial on using Ventoy for both Windows and Linux [here](https://youtu.be/-7APoZzNPyU?si=Wt6Rh9tTXASUK9AM). By the way, I've used Balena Etcher too, and it worked just fine for me.
You can use Ventoy to create your bootable USB drive. First, download the Linux Mint .iso file, preferably via torrent for a cleaner download. Once it's downloaded, use Ventoy to format and set up your USB drive. Then, copy the .iso file straight onto the USB. When you boot from it, you'll get the option to test it in a live session first! It's a solid method if you're looking for something reliable.
