Last Friday, my Google account was hacked. The intruder switched my account to a child account and set themselves as the parent, which means I'm locked out. I've tried using the recovery options at g.co/Recover, but it requires their permission to sign in. Does anyone have suggestions on how to regain access?

If the recovery option isn't working, it might be tough to get your account back. Many users have found that when the account is set up like this, they're essentially locked out for good. You might consider reaching out to Google Support directly. Just be prepared for a long process if this doesn't work out.
Wow, that's rough! I can only imagine losing an account you've had since you were a kid. I think if your Reddit is linked too, you might want to try recovering that as well. Just keep an eye on your credentials wherever you can.
It sounds like you've hit a wall with their recovery process. Unfortunately, once your account is modified in that way, it's often nearly impossible to get back without extensive support. Have you tried using any backup emails or phone numbers associated with the account?
