Hey everyone! So I just graduated high school and I'm gearing up for SATs and other exams, planning to head to university by fall 2026. In the meantime, I want to make some extra cash through hackathons and internships while also building a solid college portfolio. I've started the Harvard CS50 course and I'm really enjoying it! I'd love some guidance on what to do next. I'm particularly interested in web development and projects related to drones or space technology. Any advice on how to get started on this path and land good internships or job opportunities in programming would be hugely appreciated!

Think about what you enjoy more: building websites or working on drone/space tech projects? Look for internships that align with your interests and see what skills they're prioritizing. Start building a portfolio on GitHub with projects related to your niche. Don’t stress too much—just focus on what excites you. And if you can, grab an unpaid freelance gig for a small project once you feel more confident. You're already ahead of many applicants, so good luck!
"With zero experience, zero relevant education, and wanting to learn *and* earn in a year—please reconsider. It’s tough to land a paid internship without any formal education in coding. Focus on learning first; those in school don’t get internships easily, so keep that in mind before setting your expectations too high."
Got it, I'll work hard and do my best to learn—thanks for the reality check!
