We've been experiencing issues with Outlook crashing after the April 2025 updates, specifically with the error message: 'The program OUTLOOK.EXE version 16.0.18623.20208 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed.' This has occurred across various local deployments and Citrix VDIs in our enterprise, and it persists even when Outlook is run in safe mode. We haven't applied any cumulative updates to our on-premise MS Exchange Server 2019 during this patch cycle. After rolling back some Office 365 updates on a few machines, we didn't see any improvement. We're considering rolling back the April 2025 cumulative updates on certain Citrix VDI deployments and our Windows 10 setups. Has anyone else encountered similar issues following this month's updates? Also, the only recent change to the Exchange Server was a routine IIS certificate update that has gone smoothly in the past.

Beware of the KB5002700 update from April; it seems to be breaking Outlook. You might need to disable the weather feature to fix it temporarily. There's a non-cumulative fix, KB5002623, but you'll need to have the problematic 5002700 update installed first to apply it. Check out the Patch Tuesday megathread for updates on this.
I'm also seeing Outlook freeze and hang on a few tenants, but I’m not using Citrix. Seems like it's a more widespread issue.
We had similar crashing issues, and running Outlook in safe mode and then disabling the Adobe PDFMaker add-in worked for us! Give that a try if you haven't yet.
