I'm putting together a new PC from scratch, but I'm having a problem with my graphics card not being recognized by the motherboard. Here's my setup: I'm using a Ryzen 9 9900 X processor, 2x24GB G.Skill Flare DDR5 RAM, an Asus B850-PLUS WIFI motherboard, and an NVIDIA 5080 RTX Shadow graphics card. I've already updated the drivers, but I'm pretty new to this and would appreciate any detailed steps you can provide. I'm a bit nervous about making mistakes, so I'd love your expert guidance. Thanks in advance! What should I do?

First, try reseating the graphics card to make sure it's properly connected. Double-check that all cables are securely plugged in, especially the power cable for the card.
Are you getting any video output at all?
It might help to show us photos inside your PC. Make sure the GPU is pushed in until you hear a click, and verify that you connected the power cable to the GPU, not to the motherboard. Also, use the cables that came with your PSU and ensure everything is plugged in correctly.
I've pushed everything in without forcing it and heard the click. I'll post a photo soon. Let me try unplugging and replugging the cables and update you.
OMG, I figured it out! It was a tiny bit of dust on the connector on the motherboard. I think when I installed the CPU, my thumb might have touched the PCI slot. I cleaned it with some isopropyl alcohol, and now the PC recognizes the graphics card! I'm super relieved, thanks for all the help!
That's honestly surprising! I wouldn't have thought dust could cause that. I'm glad you sorted it out!
The fans are spinning, but I still don't have any detection.
