Is the R7 7800x3d CPU too much for the 5060 ti GPU?

Hey everyone! I'm new to building PCs (currently only have a laptop) and I'm excited to create my first gaming PC. I've been considering using an R7 7800x3d CPU with a 5060 ti 16GB GPU, but I've read that the CPU might be overkill and could lead to performance bottlenecks. Unfortunately, my budget doesn't allow for a better GPU at this time. Would it be a smarter choice to go with an R5 CPU instead to pair with the 5060 ti? I mostly play pixel art games like Stardew Valley and Omori, but I plan to try out GTA and Yakuza games when my build is done. Thanks in advance for your help, and sorry for my English! 🙂

I’m in the same boat as you, just getting into building PCs! From what I’ve gathered, the 7800x3d is indeed quite powerful for a 5060 ti. You might find that it's too much for that GPU, which could lead to some performance issues. A more balanced setup could be to go for a R5 5600x. That combo should work really well without any bottlenecks and will save you some cash as well!

Thanks for your input! I'm also considering the R5 5600x to pair with the 5060 ti, do you think that setup is good? Appreciate your help!
