Hey everyone! I'm struggling with some major crashes on my Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 (model 14AHP10) while trying out different Linux distros over the weekend. I've tested Arch (various versions), Fedora with KDE Plasma, and Pop! OS, but they all seem to crash after just a few seconds or minutes, often when I'm downloading something. On Fedora and Pop!, I at least got to download apps from the Discover store, but with Arch, I've only managed to get past the install script a couple of times before it crashed. One crash happened just moments after I connected to my Wi-Fi network using iwctl. I suspect it's due to the Realtek 8922AE network adapter, which I thought would only affect the connection, not cause a full crash. The adapter is fairly new and supposedly supported from kernel version 4.19.318. Has anyone faced similar issues or have any suggestions on how to fix this? The crashes result in a black screen and then a reboot. I've caught a couple of error messages in the logs, like "rtw89_8922ae 0000:01:00,0: failed to" and a bunch of other related errors. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

You might want to give EndeavourOS Mercury a shot. Your laptop model is quite new, so it’s likely going to take some time for Linux developers to fully support proprietary drivers if they’re needed. Switching to a distro that’s tailored for newer hardware might save you some headaches!
I’ve also heard that swapping out the network adapter for an Intel one can really help. They tend to have better compatibility with Linux than Realtek. Just something to keep in mind!
