I'm having a frustrating issue with my PC—it just won't turn on properly! When I try to boot it, it initially attempts a normal startup but then shuts itself off. After that, it powers back on, and while the fans and LEDs are glowing, the monitor isn't getting any signal, so I don't think it's actually booting. The strange part is it was working fine yesterday. This PC hasn't been used in months (maybe half a year) since my brother left it unused. Here are the specs:
- OS: Windows 10
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 3 3200G with Radeon Vega Graphics
- GPU: Radeon Vega 8 (2GB shared from system memory)
- RAM: 8GB
- Storage: 900GB HDD

Have you tried holding down the power button for about 20 seconds? Sometimes that can reset the power cycle. My husband had a similar issue where his PC got stuck in a thermal loop, and he had to hold the power button for around 2 minutes before it responded. Just make sure you really hold it down long enough!
If you can, try booting into Safe Mode with Networking. To do this, turn your PC on and then off again after a few seconds, and repeat that three times. On the fourth boot, see if it takes you to a recovery menu. If it just shows a black screen instead, it might indicate a dead GPU or a bad cable connection. Also, check your monitor settings; if it's a desktop, ensure it’s set to the right input for the connection you’re using.
It could be that your RAM stick is acting up. If you have more than one RAM stick, try booting with just one at a time to see if that helps. I had a similar experience where one stick was faulty, and swapping them out fixed the boot issue!
You're right! I removed one of the RAM sticks, and the PC turned on. Thanks a ton! ❤️

I can't even reach any boot options. It's just stuck powering on and off by itself.
