I'm looking to upgrade my laptop in 2025 and want some recommendations on models that are worth considering. So far, I've been checking out a few options, including the Dell Pro 14, HP EliteBook 640 G11, HP EliteBook 840 G11, Lenovo ThinkPad E14 G6, and Lenovo ThinkPad T14 G4. I'm particularly interested in models that come with Thunderbolt support since I use multiple 4K monitors. While Ethernet ports would be a bonus, they're not essential for me. I'm also contemplating whether to go for 16GB or 8GB of RAM and switch them out for 32GB myself since the upgrade prices are sky-high. Any advice?

I've been all about HP EliteBooks lately. They've got a solid reputation among users for compatibility and support, plus their failure rates are lower than you might find with other brands. I can't really compare all the latest models though, since I mainly stick with EliteBooks now. If you can, definitely take a look at those!
Honestly, the newer HP ProBooks are quite impressive—way better than they used to be! We traditionally reserved EliteBooks for the higher-ups, but some of our standard users are happy with ProBooks now too. They’re definitely worth considering!
If you’re looking at the ThinkPad T14, just a heads up that you’ll want the Intel version if you plan to upgrade the memory; the AMD ones have soldered RAM. Overall, it's a fantastic laptop if you don't mind that detail.
Yeah, I've noticed the same! They seem to be catching up in terms of quality.
