Hey everyone! I'm a web developer who mostly creates static websites, and I'm curious about whether any of you have actually hired someone to cold call potential clients for you. Did it work out? What was your experience? I want to know if it's worth the investment!

As a business owner, I can spot a cold call from a mile away, but if the person on the line has a genuine, local connection and offers real value, I'm more likely to listen up. It's all about making that personal connection!

I used to work with a guy whose job was strictly cold calling. He was really good at it because he understood the market and targeted the right businesses. So, if you do decide to go this route, have a solid plan and make sure the person has some sales skills. It helps to have someone who's personable rather than just a cold call machine!

That's true! My past experience was similar—having someone who knows how to sell makes all the difference. If they can relate to potential clients, they stand a better chance of succeeding.

Thanks for the insight! I'll definitely have to think about this when looking for someone to help.

Cold calling can be tricky! I've met a lot of people who just waste the caller's time or tune them out completely. Honestly, I can't stand those calls—they often feel as annoying as spam emails. If you're considering hiring someone, make sure they really know how to engage potential clients, rather than just reading off a script.

Instead of hiring a cold caller, I'd say invest in some sales books to learn the ropes yourself. Good selling is all about understanding your clients rather than just pushing a sale. You'll need those skills to close deals, whether you do it yourself or hire someone.
