I've got an EC2 instance running in the AWS West-1 region, and I just heard there's an outage in the US-East-1 region today. Can someone confirm if this outage impacts the West-1 region?

You can check the AWS Health Dashboard for the most up-to-date status. It shows that everything is normal in West-1. Just make sure to keep an eye on it during these outages!

Yeah, West-1 is good for now. I've had a stable experience there.

West-1 is generally unaffected, but keep in mind that some services tied to global endpoints, like IAM, might cause issues. If you're planning long-term, consider moving to West-2 since it's more stable and cheaper!

In my experience, West-1 has been fine during most outages. Just make sure your services aren't entirely reliant on East-1 addresses, as that could cause problems.

From what I've heard, West-1 seems to be working fine right now. But, as your needs grow, think about going multi-region instead of just focusing on one.
