I'm working on a job scheduling application that uses AWS Lambda to execute specific tasks based on input triggers, which vary according to a set schedule. Currently, I'm utilizing EventBridge to manage these jobs, which works fine for a smaller number, say 10-20 invocations. However, it's becoming cumbersome as I scale up to potentially 500 different jobs. I'm considering an alternative approach where I could create a Lambda function that runs every minute, checks a database for any updates on which jobs need running, and executes them accordingly. Is this a solid plan or is there a better practice for handling a large number of scheduled tasks?
