Looking for Payment Processor Options for My Marketplace Website

Hey everyone! I'm in the process of setting up a marketplace website similar to Indeed or Glassdoor that connects workers (like cleaners) with businesses. I need a payment processor that lets businesses pay upfront before the job starts, ensuring I can transfer funds to the workers only after they complete the task and provide proof (like a picture). I'm acting as the middleman and will take a cut for facilitating the connection. It's crucial to avoid issues with identity theft, so upfront payment is essential. I'm looking at MangoPay and Adyen but want to hear your thoughts on them—or any other recommendations. Also, if you have suggestions on the business logic or flow for my site, I'm all ears! I'm based in Canada, so I'd love any insights on relevant laws or escrow accounts.

Since you're setting up a marketplace with fees, you might find Stripe's Connect feature useful. It works well as long as your business is legitimate! But if you're worried about account freezes and customer support issues, I understand your hesitance. You might also consider using Medusa or Mercur to set up your eCommerce site if you need additional help.
