Is AWS VPN Down for Anyone Else After the Latest Windows Update?

Hey everyone, I'm experiencing issues with AWS VPN since the latest Windows update on 10/14-10/15. Several users at my company, including myself, can't log in. I remember a similar situation happening after a Google Chrome update back in March. Given the timing, I suspect it might have something to do with the recent Windows 11 update since my older laptop that hasn't updated is still able to connect just fine. Has anyone else noticed this? Any fixes?

I guess that explains why I can’t connect anymore!

Uninstalling the KB5066613 update worked for me.

Just an update: my home computer still works even though I didn’t roll back the latest Windows update. Maybe AWS fixed this issue on their end?

I’m noticing the same thing! Several coworkers of mine who updated are now able to connect again.

I tried uninstalling KB5066613, but I'm still having issues. I’m seeing error logs that indicate an assertion failure. Wish I knew what was going wrong!

I uninstalled KB5066131 and that did the trick for me. Let’s see how it holds up after future updates though.

Yeah, I’ve had a few users report the same issue. It might be worth rolling back the recent update until a fix comes through from AWS.

That seemed to work for us too! But honestly, avoiding Windows updates isn't a long-term solution. Do you think AWS knows about this and is working on it?
