Why isn’t my SSD detected through SATA but works fine via USB?

I have a 1TB SSD that won't show up when I connect it via SATA. My computer just gets stuck on the Gigabyte logo during startup. I've checked the cables with another SSD, and they work perfectly fine. I'm worried about losing my files, but when I connect the SSD externally through USB, it works without any issues and all my files are still accessible. What could be causing this problem?

Have you checked if the SSD shows up in the disk management tool? Sometimes it might not be detected by the BIOS but could still appear there.

Make sure to try different SATA ports on your motherboard. Sometimes a specific port can be malfunctioning while others are perfectly fine. If it still doesn't work, you might want to consider updating your BIOS.
