Hey everyone! I'm building a new PC and trying to create a Windows 11 installation USB drive. I formatted my USB to FAT32 and I'm using a third-party app called Ridgecorp to download the installation media. When I start the download, a Windows pop-up asks if I want to allow the app to make changes to my device. I click 'Yes' to continue, but even after following all the steps from various YouTube tutorials—like unchecking the option for 'Use the recommended options for this PC'—I end up receiving a message saying that I need 8GB of free disk space on my C: drive. Any advice on how to solve this?

Try switching the USB format to exFAT instead of FAT32. Some users have had better luck with that!
Have you considered using the official Windows 11 Media Creation Tool instead of Ridgecorp? It's usually the most straightforward option.
Yeah, but the USB I bought can only be formatted to exFAT or NTFS.
You might want to give Rufus a shot. It's pretty user-friendly and lets you customize some settings if you need to debloat, but I haven't checked if it's still working the same way lately.

I tried exFAT and it didn't work for me.
