I'm running into a "low disk space" alert on my C: drive and it's getting pretty frustrating. I've already deleted a bunch of old videos and screenshots, but I'm still almost out of space. I'm looking for a way to increase my local storage without buying an external hard drive or anything expensive. I've heard that it's possible to "allocate more space" in settings, but I can't find that option anywhere. I also tried uninstalling some programs, but it didn't help much. Is there a safe website where I can download more storage or is there any other way to free up space? Thanks for any help!

Just a heads up, drive space is hardware, and downloading more space isn’t possible. You need physical storage to increase your capacity. If you're looking for free cloud storage, you could sign up for a Google account which offers some free space, but that's about it.
You should try using 'Tree Size Free' to identify what's hogging your disk space. Remember, disk space is physical space on your hard drive, and you can't magically increase it through downloads. While there are cloud services to store files, I personally don’t find them very reliable.
Unfortunately, you can't download more storage space. It's like trying to download extra room for your bedroom – it just doesn't work that way. What you really need to do is clean up your drive even further. A tool like 'Windirstat' can help you see what's taking up space so you can make better decisions about what to delete.

I think OP might be a bit confused about the difference between RAM and storage. When you hear about "allocating space," that often refers to virtual memory or paging, and it could worsen your full drive situation.
