Hey everyone! I recently moved into a detached room in my garden, but I'm having trouble with the WiFi signal since it's not set up, and my phone reception is pretty bad. There's a Cat6 cable leading from the house to the garden room, but the router is located far away from where the cable exits in the house. I'd like to know how I can get a decent WiFi signal in the garden room without having to move the router. I know I could plug in an access point directly into the Cat6 socket in the garden room, but how can I get it connected to the router in the house without running a long Ethernet cable? Would a WiFi range extender bridge the gap between the Cat6 connection and the main router? I'm not very tech-savvy, so any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

Have you considered using a Powerline adapter? Brands like TP-Link or Devolo can send the internet signal over your existing electrical wiring. This way, you wouldn’t have to rely solely on the Cat6 cable.
Just a heads-up, though, I've read that Powerline can be a bit hit-or-miss. If your Cat6 cable is near the kitchen or laundry area, it might not work perfectly.
You might want to look into a through-the-mains-wiring solution. You can place one adapter at the router and the other in the room with the Cat6 outlet.
Are you suggesting I put the second adapter in the garden room or the room where the Cat6 ends?
