Hey everyone! I just upgraded my CPU to a Ryzen 5600X and switched to a Fortis 5 cooler, coming from a Ryzen 2600 with a Spartan 3 cooler. With the previous setup, my temps never exceeded around 70 degrees, even with a slight overclock. Now, with the new cooler, I'm seeing temps sometimes exceeding 75 degrees, which seems odd given that the Fortis 5 should be better by about 10 degrees in comparisons. Is the 5600X just running hotter than the 2600, did I hit a rough patch with silicon luck, or should I consider reapplying thermal paste and double-checking the cooler installation?

Honestly, your temperatures seem totally fine. You shouldn't stress about them too much. 75 degrees is a pretty normal temp for that CPU, and it can handle up to 95 degrees without issue.
It might be worth trying to reapply the thermal paste and see if that helps. But honestly, 75C is nothing to worry about. That's a decent temp for the 5600X, and there's really no specific advantage to running it much cooler than that.

I get what you're saying, but I just find it a bit strange to upgrade and not see a significant drop in temps. Just makes me wonder how much the 5600X puts out compared to the 2600.
