A couple of weeks ago, I noticed some strange behavior in my browser, specifically that it switched to Yahoo unexpectedly. I primarily use Google, so this was concerning. I didn't think much of it at first, but recently AVG started flagging a suspicious site, which made me more anxious since I'd rather not have any security threats to worry about. I also tried using Malwarebytes, but it didn't find anything despite those alerts. Can anyone offer some advice on how to resolve this issue?

You can also give Process Explorer a shot—it's like Task Manager but way more powerful. You can download it from Microsoft. There's a feature called Virustotal that checks files for malware. Just right-click on the columns to add it. Also, make sure to check your scheduled tasks and startup applications to see if anything funny is running.
Hey there! From your screenshots, it looks like you're using Opera. Do you only get those alerts while using it? It’s a good idea to see if the same issue happens in a different browser. Also, check your Opera extensions for anything suspicious—especially any toolbars that might be causing this issue.
You might want to try Windows Defender, especially using the 'offline' scan option. It's a good way to check for any stubborn malware that regular scans might miss.
Yeah, definitely check your startup processes and scheduled tasks for anything you don’t recognize. Also, reviewing your browser extensions can help; note what you have and try removing anything that you didn’t install yourself. That might clear things up.

I mainly stick to Opera, but whenever I use Chrome for work, I've also noticed similar issues with my search engine switching to Yahoo. I didn’t mention Chrome in my original post, but it's definitely happened there too.
