I'm looking to upgrade my current AM4 setup instead of switching to AM5, which would require buying nearly all new parts. I mainly play games like CS2, Dying Light 2, and Minecraft. I'm not interested in future-proofing or spending a lot on high-end components. My current specs are:
- Ryzen 5 2600
- GTX 1650 Super (single fan)
- 16GB DDR4 RAM (3200)
- MSI Mini ITX B450I Gaming Plus AC
- Seasonic Focus Plus 550 (SSR-550FX PSU)
I'm considering getting a Ryzen 5 5600X3D, a used 3060 Ti or 5060, and maybe upgrading to 32GB of RAM. I'm also thinking about replacing the PSU just to be safe. If you have any other suggestions, I'm all ears!

You might want to look at the Ryzen 7 5700X3D or a 5800X, both of which are solid choices for 1440p gaming and are available at decent prices. Just make sure your BIOS is updated when you upgrade your CPU!
If you decide to get the X3D with your current motherboard, keep an eye on thermals and power delivery since the VRM is small. Good airflow is crucial! You might want to consider budgeting for a new motherboard; the price difference between staying on AM4 and moving to AM5 isn't too significant.
There are plenty of good options for upgrades. You can find used 3000 series CPUs for cheap, and going with anything in the 5000 series will give you a solid upgrade. Getting an X3D would be great, though they can be a bit pricey. Also, don't forget to upgrade your BIOS first before swapping your CPU!
That sounds good. So just the 5600X3D and 5060? Thanks a lot!

I play on 1080p, so I'm leaning toward the 5600X3D or the 5060. What do you think?
