Are My AMD Build Temperatures Normal?

I'm just starting out with my first AMD build and I'm trying to wrap my head around the CPU and GPU temperatures I'm seeing. I'm using a 9800X3D CPU with an Arctic Liquid Freezer III Pro 360mm cooler and an Asus Strix 870e motherboard paired with an Asus 5080 Astral GPU. My setup is housed in an EVO RGB case with a total of 10x 120mm fans. Here's a breakdown of the temperatures I'm getting:
- In BIOS: CPU temps are at 40-41°C.
- Idle in Windows: CPU temps are at 51-53°C.
- Under load (playing BF6): CPU temps range from 65-73°C and GPU temps are around 60-65°C.
I've been gaming at 4K resolution with average frame rates of 120-140fps on medium settings. Considering my room temperature is about 23°C but it can get warmer while gaming, are these temperature readings normal?

You might want to try undervolting your CPU a bit. I recommend starting with a negative offset of -30 in BIOS. It can help maintain stable clock speeds and lower your temps significantly without sacrificing performance.

I haven't tried that yet but sounds interesting.

Your temps are looking pretty standard to me! I usually see 60-75 degrees while under load, so you're in the right range. Just keep an eye on it and make sure your case ventilation is good. That will definitely help when you're gaming for long periods.

What's your idle temp like?

I have almost the exact same setup and my temps are really similar. You're doing great! Just remember to give that undervolt and PBO boost a shot as others have suggested. It'll make a difference!

Yeah, those temps are just fine. In fact, they're on the lower side for what's considered normal with that kind of setup. If you're comfortable pushing your CPU a bit, consider enabling more aggressive PBO settings. It could give you better performance without severely impacting temps.

I was curious about that. Might give it a shot!
