I'm using GoDaddy's shared hosting plan for my website and I noticed that when I look up the public DNS record, the IP address leads to GoDaddy. However, when I enter that IP address in a browser, it shows a different website instead of mine. Is that typical behavior for shared hosting? I have a www A record in our Windows DNS pointing to this IP, and my website itself loads fine.

Yeah, that's actually quite common! Because you're on shared hosting, multiple sites use the same IP. What you're seeing is the default page for that server. Your DNS records point to the right place, so when someone types in your domain, it serves your site instead of the default one.
Absolutely, that’s expected with shared hosting! The server identifies which site to load based on the domain name, so as long as your site loads fine through your domain, everything’s alright. If anything feels off, let us know!
Yep, that's how shared hosting works. Your site loads fine because your domain directs to the correct content. If you access the server directly via its IP, it'll usually show the default site configured by the host. There's nothing wrong with it, as long as your website is accessible via your domain!
Totally normal! Just so you know, some people say GoDaddy has its issues, so if you're ever looking to switch, do some research on alternatives.
