I've built my PC around 7 years ago, and recently I've started noticing some issues. After I turn off the power completely using the wall switch, when I turn my PC back on, it defaults to the BIOS as if it doesn't remember any settings like the boot sequence or drive. I've also realized that secure boot gets disabled, and the RAM clock speed resets, as if the BIOS settings have been wiped. Could this be due to a dying or dead CMOS battery? Are these batteries replaceable? My motherboard is the ROG STRIX X570-F GAMING. Any advice would be appreciated!

There’s usually a button battery like the CR2032 located near the GPU. If it’s indeed the CMOS battery that’s failing, that’s the part to replace. Also, just make sure you're completely shutting down your PC before turning off the wall switch. Sometimes improper shutdowns can lead to BIOS issues too.
Definitely sounds like a dead CMOS battery to me! These batteries are replaceable, and you'll just need a standard CR2032. If you swap it out and still have issues, it might be time to look into a new motherboard, but replacing the battery is a good start.
Sounds like your CMOS battery might be dead! It’s typically a standard CR2032 battery, which you can easily find at most stores that sell batteries. It’s a straightforward replacement, and doing that should help fix your issues.
Yeah, make sure you’re fully shutting down your system before switching off power at the wall. I know it sounds basic, but improperly shutting down can mess with your hardware. Just give your system a minute to completely turn off before switching off the wall power.
