How to Improve CPU Performance in Battlefield 6?

I'm seeing my CPU usage hit 95% while playing Battlefield 6, while my GPU is only around 50-60%. Here's my rig for context:

- Nvidia 3060 Founders Edition
- Ryzen 5 3600
- 16GB Corsair Vengeance RAM @ 2667 MHz
- 1440p 144Hz monitor
- Windows 10

I'm wondering if I should be considering an upgrade or if there might be some background processes that are hogging resources. What are my best options?

From my experience, Battlefield 6 usually pushes CPU limits. While the Ryzen 5 3600 is decent, upgrading to a 5700X or better would offer a noticeable boost. There are also tweaks you can try; some users found a configuration file that reduces CPU usage. If upgrading isn't viable, optimizing settings may offer some relief.

CPU usage tends to be high in Battlefield 6 due to its extensive use of multiple cores. If you're not dissatisfied with your performance, it might just be normal. However, if you're looking for more stable frame rates, consider upgrading to a Ryzen 5 5600 or an X3D option if you're okay with the price tag. They can help improve your performance significantly!

Battlefield games are generally CPU-intensive. You might find your CPU struggles with the demands, especially in heavier gameplay. To boost performance, try lowering CPU-intensive graphics settings and ensuring you're actually running at 1440p. Closing background apps like Chrome and Discord could also help. If all else fails, upgrading to an AM5 setup could be worth it, especially if you're experiencing inconsistent frame rates.

CPU constraints can lead to major FPS issues, especially in Battlefield. Your setup likely won’t deliver consistent 144fps at 1440p without some solid upgrades. Consider moving to an X3D CPU paired with a better GPU to really see the performance jump you're after.

If you're hitting 100% CPU usage, that's pretty common for your setup in a demanding game like BF6. While your GPU may not be fully utilized, that's because the CPU is bottlenecking the performance. Updating your CPU to a higher-end Ryzen and running faster RAM could give you a better experience in-game.
