Looking for Tips to Reduce My PC Build Costs

I'm building my first PC and my budget is £650, but my current setup is coming to £800. I'm hoping to cut costs while still having decent performance for 1440p gaming. I'm open to using some second-hand parts if that helps. However, if a 1440p build isn't feasible, I'd be okay with settling for a 1080p setup for now until I can upgrade. I appreciate any advice! You might want to focus on cutting costs on the monitor first, maybe consider getting a more affordable 1080p display. Besides that, it looks like you’ve maximized your budget as much as possible. A 1080p setup can still provide a good gaming experience while you save for a more powerful system later.

Do you think it's better to buy a pre-built system with peripherals included from eBay? Or is it cheaper to assemble everything separately?
