I'm building a new gaming rig, and so far, here's what I have planned: a Ryzen 7800X3D CPU, Phantom Spirit EVO cooler, Gigabyte B650 EAGLE AX ATX motherboard, 32GB of Trident Z5 Neo RGB RAM, a 1TB SK Hynix Platinum P41 SSD, a Phanteks Eclipse mid-tower case, and a Corsair RM850e 850W gold-certified PSU, all running on Windows 11 Pro. I'm looking for the best GPU I can get for under $1000, specifically for RPG gaming and modding. Any suggestions? I'd love to hear feedback on my build too!

For your setup, I’d recommend considering the 5070 Ti with 16GB or the 9070 XT; both should handle RPGs and modding quite well. If you want to go all out, the 5080 is currently the best choice at that price point, but you might want to think about whether you'd prefer to drop down the CPU to fit it in your budget. Just keep the RAM at CL30 6000 for optimal performance!
Yeah, I think getting both might not be necessary. The 7800X3D is great, so sticking with it and getting the 5080 could be better in the long run!
