I'm trying to upgrade my GPU to a 3080, but I lost an extra PCIe cable in a flood. I currently have a Seasonic Prime PX 850W PSU and I'm looking for a compatible 8-pin PCIe cable. A friend of mine has a Seasonic Focus PX 850W PSU and offered me one of his cables, but it's daisy-chained (one PSU connector with two GPU-side 8-pin heads) while mine is not. Can I safely use his PCIe cable with my PSU?

I understand the situation, but you might want to check CableMod's compatibility list. If both the Seasonic Prime and Focus PSUs are listed under the same cable series, their cables might work interchangeably. Just make sure to check that list thoroughly!
You really shouldn't mix and match PSU cables. It's considered risky because it could lead to serious issues like fires or damaging your components. I recommend looking for cables specifically designed for your Seasonic Prime PX 850W. Check out CableMod for custom cables or see if you can find another Prime PX 850W PSU to get the correct cables.
