What should I do if I’ve forgotten my iPhone passcode and need to wait it out?

Hey everyone! I've locked myself out of my iPhone because I forgot my passcode. I tried entering it multiple times and now I'm stuck waiting for three hours. I'm really worried about losing my data, especially my photos, which mean a lot to me. I remember there's a way to back up to iCloud, but I'm not sure if I actually set that up on my iPhone. Is there any way to check if my photos are backed up on my iMac? Also, if anyone has tips on getting through this waiting period without erasing my data, I'd appreciate it. Should I reach out to Apple support for help?

I think you should just take the time to chill and not stress too much about the passcode. If it really is your phone, using the three hours to reset your mind might actually help you remember it!

If you're worried about your data, you can check your photos on iCloud! Just log in at iCloud.com/photos with your Apple ID and see if they're backed up. If they are, you can safely erase your phone and restore it later.

Honestly, just wait it out! You could use this time to relax. Go take a walk, maybe grab a snack. It sounds frustrating, but distracting yourself might help.

If you want to try something different, consider rebooting your phone. Sometimes that helps fix glitches that might prevent the proper code from being accepted. Just keep in mind it won't change your wait time.

I get that you're anxious, but you really just need to wait. It seems like you might be overthinking the passcode. Try entering it again later—you might surprise yourself and remember it!

You're right, I just keep second-guessing myself. I really hope I can remember it!
