I'm putting together a gaming PC build with a budget of around €2,000. My main goal is to achieve smooth 1440p gaming right now while ensuring there are good upgrade options in a few years. Here's what I'm considering for the build:
- CPU: 9800X3D
- GPU: Asus TUF 9070xt
- Motherboard: Asus TUF B850-E Wifi
- RAM: G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo 32GB
- SSD: Samsung 990 Evo Plus 2TB
- Cooler: be quiet! Silent Loop 3 240mm
- Case: be quiet! Silent Base 601
- Power Supply: be quiet! Power Zone 2 850 W
I would love to hear any feedback or suggestions from the community!

Your build looks solid, but I’d recommend steering clear of ASUS products overall. Companies like Gigabyte or MSI have great alternatives for the B850 motherboard, and for the GPU, consider brands like Sapphire, Powercolor, or XFX instead. Also, swapping to a 360mm Arctic Freezer cooler could help significantly with heat dissipation and maintain quieter operation, plus it’s usually cheaper too!
Check out this build I’ve put together: [https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/NBBvPJ](https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/NBBvPJ). It’s slightly cheaper at around €1,760. Just a heads up, I assumed you were in Germany based on the currency you mentioned!
That works! But what’s with the microATX format? Is there a specific advantage?

Thanks for the advice! But can you elaborate on why you don’t recommend ASUS? I thought they were top-notch? Also, any specific models from Gigabyte or others you suggest?
