Can I Remotely Control My Power Supply Unit Switch?

I'm working on a custom PC case, but the design places the power supply unit (PSU) switch inside the case, making it hard to access. Is there a way to remotely turn the PSU on and off without having to open the case? I know there are remote buttons for the PC's main power, but I'm hoping to find a solution specifically for the PSU's switch.

Just unplugging it works too. I prefer not to use the PSU switch since it can get flipped easily.

You could make the side of your PSU compartment removable, like in the Lian Li 217 case. That way, you can just pop it out to get to the PSU without trouble.

You might want to consider using a surge protector with a switch. It can serve the same purpose without messing with the PSU directly.

It's a common question! After building, most people rarely touch the PSU switch anyway, especially during maintenance.

Honestly, I wouldn't recommend it. The PSU switch handles line voltage, and modifying it could be dangerous. Instead, you can just use a power strip with a switch to turn it off completely without needing to reach inside your case.
