Which Linux Distro Should I Choose for Dual Booting?

Hey everyone! I'm looking to get into Linux and I've got an external SSD ready for dual booting. I've only had a brief experience with Arch while setting up Hyprland, so I'm not a total newbie but I don't want to go for something too basic like Ubuntu. I'm also a cyber security student just starting my bachelor's degree. Should I dive into Kali from the start, or do you guys have other recommendations?

I'd recommend starting with Linux Mint 22.2, especially the Cinnamon edition. It's user-friendly and great for getting accustomed to Linux without being overwhelming. As for Kali, I suggest using it from a flash drive for now since it’s mainly designed for penetration testing and might not be the best everyday OS for learning. It's definitely more specialized than a general-use distro.

That makes sense! I went with Manjaro recently. Can you elaborate on why using Kali from a flash drive is better? I actually have both installed on an external SSD.
