I'm putting together my first custom PC build with a GeForce RTX 5070 Ti and I could really use some help! Here's the part list I ended up with:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D 4.7 GHz 8-Core Processor
- CPU Cooler: Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE ARGB
- Motherboard: MSI B650 GAMING PLUS WIFI ATX
- Memory: Corsair Vengeance RGB 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL36
- Storage: Samsung 990 EVO Plus 2 TB M.2 NVME SSD
- Video Card: Asus PRIME GeForce RTX 5070 Ti 16 GB
- Case: Thermaltake View 270 Plus TG ARGB ATX Mid Tower
- Power Supply: MSI MAG A850GL PCIE5 850 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular
Total cost is around £1852.87. I'm a bit worried about the compatibility and performance, so I'd love your thoughts. Is there anything I should change or fix? Thanks a lot!

Consider going for the 7800X3D and the 5080 instead of the 9800X3D and the 5070Ti combo. You might get better performance that way.
What resolution are you planning to game at? For 1440p, the 7800X3D is a solid choice, while the 9700X is more than enough for 4K. Also, might want to consider getting some better RAM and SSD if you're into smoother performance.
I'm aiming to play at both 1440p and 4K. I thought the SSD was okay, but I'm open to suggestions. I'm also relatively new to this, so I'm not sure how CPU intensive my planned games are.
Your build looks solid! If you're looking for a bit more performance, you might consider switching to a 6000 CL30 memory kit, but the CL36 you have will work perfectly fine too.
Thanks for the suggestion! I actually put the wrong RAM kit here; it's actually 6000MHz CL30.
If you're worried about cooling, I'd recommend checking out the Corsair 4000D case. It has great airflow and fits just about any components well.
Have you thought about upgrading to the B850 motherboard? It's just £12 more, and while it changes the color scheme a bit, it could offer better features down the line.
Great tip! I just swapped to the B850 motherboard. Thanks!
Just a heads up, the 9800X3D might be overkill for the 5070Ti setup you have.

I had my eye on the 5070Ti since it was on sale for £730 and the 7800X3D was only £50 cheaper. The 5080 is out of my budget right now, even with a US import.
