Hey folks! I'm on the hunt for guidance on building a PC mainly for design work, particularly in Photoshop and Blender, but I'm also just starting out with video editing in Davinci Resolve. My current setup is struggling even with basic tasks in Photoshop, so I really need an upgrade.
I'm working with a budget of about $3300 CAD (around $2350 USD) and might stretch it a bit if necessary. From my research, I've found that the Ryzen 9 7950X is a great choice for multitasking which I expect to do a lot of. However, I've also heard positive things about the Intel Core Ultra series for video editing. I primarily plan to work on designing, but I'll dabble in editing too, so I'm looking for some solid advice on which CPU to go with.
For the GPU, I'm considering the 5070 Ti due to its performance-to-price ratio, but I'm unsure if stepping up to the 5080 is warranted. I'm not planning to edit anything over 4k right now, but I'd like to future-proof my setup a bit. If there are other GPU options worth considering, I'd love to hear them.
Additionally, I need a case with good airflow since my current one doesn't cool well at all. It doesn't have to be massive; something around 50-55 liters would be ideal. Lastly, I'm contemplating waiting for Black Friday sales but would prefer to build sooner if it's not worth the wait. Let me know what you think!
I've linked a few draft builds I've come up with – I'm open to suggestions:

I definitely second the choice of the 9950X! It delivers great performance for both design and video editing tasks. Honestly, I don’t see much benefit in upgrading to the 5080 – the 5070 Ti will handle your workload just fine without breaking the bank.
On the case front, you might consider a slightly cheaper one with good airflow – like the Phanteks XT PRO – and add some additional fans if you need them. It all depends on how much cooling and space you want. And waiting for Black Friday could get you some sweet deals, but if you need it now, it’s still a good time to build!
I’d say go with the Ryzen 9 9950X instead of the 7950X. It’s got better performance for rendering in Blender and video editing in Davinci Resolve. As for your GPU, the 5070 Ti is totally solid for your needs; benchmarks show the 5080 doesn’t give a huge performance boost to justify the price jump.
Also, the Lancool 217 case you mentioned is a great pick for airflow and comes with fans included, which is a plus! You've got a tight budget, but there's some wiggle room for future-proofing.
