Troubleshooting Screen Freezes and Green Artifacts on MSI RTX 3060

I'm experiencing an annoying issue with my MSI RTX 3060 12GB where my screen occasionally freezes and displays green square-like artifacts on both of my monitors. This happens randomly, whether I'm gaming or doing light tasks. I can still hear audio from Discord and the games, but I can't move my mouse or interact with anything—the display just locks up completely. My setup includes Windows 11 Pro, an Intel Core i5-13400F CPU, 16GB of RAM, and a 750W PSU.

So far, I've run a FurMark stress test without any artifacts, checked that my GPU and VRAM temperatures are normal, and I've used the two latest NVIDIA drivers. The PSU appears stable, and both my CPU and GPU are at stock settings with no overclocking. Both monitors are connected via DisplayPort. I'm looking for any suggestions on what might be causing this or what I could test next. Appreciate any help!

Sounds like a bummer! One possibility is that the graphics card might be failing. You could try reseating the card in its PCIe slot or even moving it to a different slot and checking the PCIe power cables as well. It might also be worth checking for any hardware conflicts in your BIOS. Just a heads up, though; sometimes these issues can mean the card is having serious problems.

I get what you're saying! Just make sure to back up your data before you mess with anything BIOS-related or change your disk setup. If the card seems fine after reseating it, maybe take another look at the drivers or even consider running a more in-depth diagnostic to rule out software issues.
