What are some affordable alternatives to AWS Fargate for container deployment?

I'm currently using AWS Fargate for deploying containers at my job, and while it's quite convenient, I'm finding that containers are being shut down overnight due to costs, which creates a lot of hassles for me as a developer. I'm looking for cheaper alternatives outside of AWS that allow my containers to run 24/7. Does anyone have experience with platforms like OVH or Hetzner that have similar offerings? I'm specifically not interested in Azure or Google Cloud. What options are out there?

You might want to look into why your containers are being shut down in the first place, especially if they handle important tasks. While there are cheaper computing options available, moving to a different platform can end up costing more in terms of maintenance and infrastructure management. Sometimes tweaking your autoscaling settings or incorporating EC2 instances into your ECS setup can save you money more effectively.

Setting up an ECS cluster with managed instances on EC2 could also be a solution. Make sure to check the logs to diagnose why your containers are shutting down.

You have plenty of options! You could refactor your setup to use Cloudflare Workers. Alternatively, you could literally run your containers on your own laptop (just keep it plugged in, so it doesn't sleep!). Or even... hack your neighbor's Wi-Fi and run them off their TV! Just kidding, but seriously, there are a ton of creative ways to get around this.

DigitalOcean has a Kubernetes service that could be a good fit for your needs. It's known for being user-friendly and affordable for container deployments.

DigitalOcean is still my go-to option when it comes to cost-effective solutions for container hosting. It's reliable and not overly complicated to set up.
