I recently installed Mint on an external SSD as my first Linux distro and I'm really enjoying it! However, I'm curious about other Linux distributions that are easy to use for beginners. I don't want to constantly switch distros, but I'm interested in knowing what other options might be similar in terms of user-friendliness. Also, while I have customized Mint's appearance to my liking, I wasn't a big fan of its default look. What do you recommend?

You might also want to consider OpenSUSE and Manjaro. Both offer solid support and are relatively easy to use. Arch-based distros like Manjaro can be a bit more complex at first, but they’re worth it in the long run!

If you're looking for alternatives, I'd suggest checking out Fedora KDE Plasma. It's known for being smooth and user-friendly. Plus, it has a lot of software available right from the package manager, which is great for gaming on integrated graphics!

For a fun spin, check out elementary OS or Peppermint OS! They're both visually appealing and designed with usability in mind. However, Peppermint has its quirks post-install, so just a heads up!

I personally love Kubuntu. It has a highly customizable KDE desktop and is generally user-friendly. Plus, with tools like Ventoy, you can try out different distros from a USB drive without any hassle!

Absolutely try out Zorin OS or Pop!_OS! Both are fantastic for those transitioning from Windows. They offer a very familiar interface and good support for most users. Plus, if you like Mint, Zorin has a similar vibe!
