Feeling Stuck in My Software Engineering Job Search – Need Advice!

I'm a 30-year-old software engineer who graduated last year. I started my studies a bit late in life for personal reasons, but now I'm really struggling to find a job. I've gone through a lot of interviews but keep getting rejected. I'm considering getting certifications or taking courses to boost my skills for interviews and technical tests. What do you think would be the most valuable certifications or skills to focus on? Sometimes I worry that my age is a disadvantage since many junior roles require 2+ years of experience. I'd love to hear tips or suggestions from anyone who's faced similar challenges.

The job market is pretty rough right now, and it can be frustrating. How have your interviews gone? Are there specific areas where you feel you struggle, like technical questions or soft skills? What do you see as your weaker points?

I have almost a year of experience and worked on some small projects in college. I think I did decently in interviews, but I've lost a bit of confidence in my technical skills since I haven't tackled anything challenging lately.

If interviews are your main struggle, I can share some tips! A lot of it comes down to practice, which builds muscle memory and confidence. I found resources like InterviewCoder super helpful. Also, try meditating to calm those pre-interview nerves; it really helps!
