I recently bought an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D (OEM version) and noticed a strange discolored spot on the pins when I inspected it. Nope, that ain’t right. A new chip shouldn't have any discoloration. It sounds like it might have been sold to you after someone else messed it up, probably from a faulty motherboard or something.
