Best Affordable Options for a 1500W UPS?

I'm on the hunt for an affordable uninterruptible power supply (UPS) since my recent PC upgrade has increased my power consumption beyond the 1000W threshold of my current Cyberpower UPS. The only decent option I've found so far is the PR1500LCD, which costs almost $800 CAD. Are there any other alternatives available that won't break the bank? Do you think it's worth investing in a UPS for my setup?

Once you start looking at 1500VA and above, you're basically stepping into industrial territory. It's tough to find affordable options in that range for home use. Generally, most affordable units don't go past 1500VA. If you're set on getting one, you might want to check out local classifieds or online marketplaces for used enterprise units that could suit your needs.

Yeah, at 1500W, you’re moving away from consumer-grade products and looking at pricier professional options. Also, keep in mind that many units in this category require a 20A socket or even a 240V circuit, so make sure your setup can handle that. If cost is a big issue, you might consider skipping the UPS for now and just ensuring your PC is on a good surge protector.

Thanks for the tips! It looks like I might have to skip it for now.
