Hey everyone! I recently decided to try out Nobara after testing a few different distros, and I went ahead and installed it fresh. However, I'm a bit shocked to see that it's already using 150 GB of space on my SSD. Is this typical because of the built-in apps and packages, or could I have made a mistake during installation? What steps can I take to understand or resolve this issue?

That doesn't seem normal at all for a fresh installation. You might want to run the command `sudo du -hxd 1 /` in the terminal. That will show you which directories are using the most space. It's really useful for tracking down the culprits!
I run a different distro, but from my experience, fresh installs shouldn't occupy that much space. I've got a bunch of extra packages and files and I'm only using around 20 GB. If your install is using that much, definitely investigate further!
No way should the Nobara install take up 150 GB. Make sure to dig deeper into your file system. There could be something unusual—maybe leftover files from something else! Using those tools I mentioned should help you sort it out.
It sounds like something might be off! Have you checked the storage usage to see exactly what's taking up so much space? You could use tools like Filelight or `ncdu` to help visualize the disk usage. This can give you a clearer idea of what files and folders are eating up the space.
